Dr Natasha Hepworth is a clinical psychologist who works with adolescents, adults and families. She is experienced in the application of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness based techniques and interpersonal therapy. Natasha has worked in private practice for four years and also has experience in both the public and private mental health sectors. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Clinical College of Psychologists.
Natasha has a particular interest in working with both women and men with eating disorders, disordered eating and body image issues. She has completed her doctoral thesis research on the help and treatment seeking experience of women with binge eating issues and has published various research articles in the field of eating disorders. She has worked at The Oak House and at the Eating Disorder Program at The Melbourne Clinic, including co-coordinating the day program. Natasha is trained in The Maudsley Model Family Based Treatment for eating disorders and presents at various schools in Melbourne on issues related to body image and eating issues. Furthermore, Natasha also has experience working with people who experience depression, post-natal depression, anxiety issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder and relationship issues.
Natasha has adopts a client-centered approach and strongly believes in working collaboratively with her clients to allow them to achieve their goals in a safe and comfortable environment. Natasha is available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. After hour appointments are available on Wednesday evenings and every second Saturday.
